Background
Indium (111In) biciromab (INN, trade name FibriScint, developed by Centocor) was a drug targeting fibrin, a protein involved in the clotting of blood. It was the Fab' fragment of a mouse monoclonal antibody labelled with the radioisotope indium-111 for the diagnosis of thromboembolism, but was withdrawn during clinical trials.
• A novel deletion in the fibrinogen beta chain (FGB) gene causing hypofibrinogenemia., PMID:31841708
• A Novel Nonsense Mutation in FGB (c.1421G>A; p.Trp474Ter) in the Beta Chain of Fibrinogen Causing Hypofibrinogenemia with Bleeding Phenotype., PMID:33322159
• Fibrinogen β chain and FXIII polymorphisms affect fibrin clot properties in acute pulmonary embolism., PMID:34783023
• Genetic Variants in the FGB and FGG Genes Mapping in the Beta and Gamma Nodules of the Fibrinogen Molecule in Congenital Quantitative Fibrinogen Disorders Associated with a Thrombotic Phenotype., PMID:32610551
• Fibrinogen beta chain may be a potential predict biomarker for pre-eclampsia: A preliminary study., PMID:36566955
• Quantitative Proteomic Approach Targeted to Fibrinogen β Chain in Tissue Gastric Carcinoma., PMID:29518939
• The β-Chain Mutation p.Arg17Stop Impairs Fibrinogen Synthesis and Secretion: A Nonsense Mutation Associated With Hypofibrinogenemia., PMID:39665495
• Fibrinogen beta-chain -C148T polymorphism is associated with increased fibrinogen, C-reactive protein, and interleukin-6 in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting., PMID:21499712
• Investigating Association of rs5918 Human Platelets Antigen 1 and rs1800790 Fibrinogen β Chain as Critical Players with Recurrent Pregnancy Loss., PMID:30384452
• [Relationship between fibrinogen B beta gene FGB -455G/A polymorphism and atherosclerotic cerebral infarction]., PMID:15300640
